What To Do After Overeating
Overeating happens to EVERYONE sometimes!
Even me! I'm not perfect and sometimes I overeat 🤷♀️
Okay so WHY then is it that some people can overeat sometimes and still lose weight and others stay stuck?
It's all in how you RESPOND ⬆️ Peek these two graphs above for an example
Back when I was overweight and struggling, I'd have one day of overeating, then try so hard to restrict my food the next day to "make up for it"
I'd overeat → restrict because I felt guilty → overeat because I felt restricted → restrict because I felt guilty...and the cycle continued
And the biggest thing perpetuating the cycle was my guilt!! I didn't know how to overeat then MOVE ON 👋 learning how to do that is a GAME CHANGER!
If we have a day where we eat over our calorie goals, we take a breath, leave it in the past, and jump right back into our NORMAL eating — no back-to-back cheat meals, guilt or restriction!
When you're able to overeat and jump right back into your regularly scheduled programming, you don't make a dent in your progress because at the end of the week your AVERAGE calorie intake still has you in a deficit (aka: your body consumed less than it was burning so you lose weight 💪)
It's not about being perfect... it's about being ON more than you're off ❤️
Next time you end up going over your calories/macros or eating off your plan, let that sh*t go! In the grand scheme of things that one day doesn't count...it's how you REACT that matters 😘
